This Tuesday, Forearms of Change Center to Enable Community hosted an awareness workshop to combat stigma against HIV for healthcare workers at the Kempinski Hotel Amman. This workshop was the first of a 10-part series geared towards increasing awareness and understanding of HIV and ending HIV stigma.
The topics were including how HIV spreads and does not spread, acceptance and support for people living with HIV, bias towards HIV, how the virus functions, and treatment options. The group also discussed their own biases toward PLHIV through group discussions and activities.
